Hi, Folks,
A final wish that you have celebrated a very Happy Pride Month. Especially if you are in New York City today, we hope you had a fantastic, celebratory weekend!
For now, if you hate hearing about other people’s dreams, skip to the news, below.
If you’d like to hear one of mine, read on.
For context, I am a vivid dreamer, nearly every night.
A couple of nights ago I had a doozy! (Was it a coincidence that it was after watching the debates?) I guess I was kind of conflating reality. I dreamt that I was re-watching 'VEEP,' season 1 Episode 2, where bodyman Gary takes a "Sneeze bullet" for Selina, except I somehow became Gary and I myself got a horrendous cold.
Prior to the Veep moment of the dream, I had been attending an industry screening event which turned out to be held at the headquarters of Major League Baseball. Which was actually shaped like a baseball stadium. So when I went in the entrance and started walking, I realized that I was about 350-degrees away from my seat, but instead of turning back to take the short way around, I walked on the other near-360 degrees to the entrance I was supposed to use to get to my 'aisle.' On the way, I ran into and became very good friends with Kumail Nanjiani. However, he peeled off halfway around the rotunda (he had to drive a tiny car back to his hotel, urgently). I then visited a high school guidance counselor’s office where I had to deliver a eulogy. Which turned out to be in a large auditorium, just like the one where I thought I was going to see the screening. Sadly, the eulogy was for a Spanish teacher who may or may not have taken his own life. I didn't know how to handle that exact piece of the eulogy, so I asked a speech writer for help, which is how I got to the VEEP part of the dream and I turned into Gary. "Thoughts and Prayers."
Off to do some more car and airport drop-offs and pick-ups.

The LZ Sunday Paper™ launched at the dawn of 2014. We expose and recirculate interesting content that is about, and frequently by, women in business, with a dose of ultra-relevant culture. We think that culture comes high and low, not much in between. Our audience is vast and not gender-driven. Every week we expect to deliver at least one good laugh. Send suggestions, clips, or names of people you think might enjoy this to LZSundayPaper@gmail.com.
