Dear Friends and Followers,
How do you like this week's Masthead? It's new!
I love it.
First of all, I am especially grateful to all the friends and subscribers who referred excellent graphic designers to me after I put out the call a few weeks ago. I confess that I got immediately overwhelmed, finding it difficult to choose from so many talented folks. I am determined to organize the emails and portfolio links and do some outreach. Stay tuned and thank you for your patience, artists.
As luck and friendship would have it, an especially avid Sunday Paper reader who, while professionally a financial wizard also happens to be an artist. He and I dialogue about the Paper nearly every Sunday. While we knew each other in college, Nick was two or three concentric social circles out from my core group. The renewed friendship is one of a handful born, mostly digitally but occasionally IRL, around the Sunday Paper.
One day last week, he started doodling around on a digital art program and sent me a selection of amazing new mastheads. During the final game of the World Series, we text-debated legal issues such as trademark and copyright protection, and aesthetic issues such as the relative size and emphasis of the "LZ” as well as the veracity of shortening the tagline. It's all a work in progress but you may likely see more from this talented collaborator.
By the way, the good karma came right around because DC-area denizen Nick's team won in a thrilling game 7! Congratulations, Nationals! You deserve your once a century win!

Hope you had a good extra hour of sleep. I’ve been lloking for the one Ilost six months ago.
Also—everything’s fine—but if there are more errors than usual it’s because I’m testing the limits of the Mailchimp mobile app from the NYU Langone Orthopedic Emergency Room. Yay, high school football!
Go, Tigers!

The LZ Sunday Paper™ launched at the dawn of 2014. We expose and recirculate interesting content that is about, and frequently by, women in business, with a dose of ultra-relevant culture. We think that culture comes high and low, not much in between. Our audience is vast and not gender-driven. Every week we expect to deliver at least one good laugh. Send suggestions, clips, or names of people you think might enjoy this to LZSundayPaper@gmail.com.
