Dear Readers and Subscribers,
The Admiral's Club was, sadly, a welcome refuge from the many slings and arrows that a week of travel can bring. I am on edge, wary of next week's possible canceled flight notifications and other travel inconveniences that even the new Guac Bar in the SFO location can't soothe.
Q: does anyone else get insane emails about "job opportunities"? If I ever want to go back into the workforce full time, I take heart in knowing that opportunities abound. Good to know that I could branch out to one of the other four senses if the "seeing" thing doesn't work out:
Maybe I'll throw my nose in the ring for that one!
To the devoted weekly followers -- Thank you to the many responses to my sneaker conundrum that I posited last week. It seems that many readers also find themselves in similar situations and had very specific suggestions for me. In general, the group is very positive and upbeat. Thank you! I am going to take all the recommendations under advisement and persevere. Just went down the sort-and-click-hole of Zappos. No luck/inspiration there, but for some reason clicked on a bunch of account pages that let me know that my very first order was in November, 2006. In case that era of foot-centric fashion (and I use the term lightly, and in a moment you'll find out why) doesn't ring a bell, hint: a pair of Uggs and a pair of "Heelys" was purchased. It's been a long road to my Zappos "VIP" status but with those as the two kickoff purchases, I feel I've earned it.

The LZ Sunday Paperâ„¢ launched at the dawn of 2014. We expose and recirculate interesting content that is about, and frequently by, women in business, with a dose of ultra-relevant culture. We think that culture comes high and low, not much in between. Our audience is vast and not gender-driven. Every week we expect to deliver at least one good laugh. Send suggestions, clips, or names of people you think might enjoy this to LZSundayPaper@gmail.com.
