Readers,
Happy upcoming Halloween!
I have published a lot of stories in the past four years. Inciting, controversial, maddening. But never in the history of The LZ Sunday Paper have I gotten more feedback, more "engagement" in today's consumer parlance, than I did about last week's cat-tote, which I spotted on the subway and then which, coincidentally, one of my daughters saw on the streets of NYC.
Well it turns out that my intrepid readers were better sleuths than I, and found the link to a one-click purchase faster than you can say "meow." Many sent the link. Many sent other interesting and design-y cat-themed ideas, but only one, my generous and formidable friend Carol, actually found the link, clicked "buy," and surprised me with the cat tote extraordinaire at my doorstep. Friends and family, you *will* be seeing me avec tote de chat.
To all those who are questioning the fascination around the cat-tote to begin with, the reaction from my faithful subscribers, a second week of cattention to it, all I can do is quote another LZSP fan and friend, Gabriella, who insightfully analyzed it as "because…cats."

I'm sorry for all the terrible news this week, especially the massacre at the synagogue in Pittsburgh. Figure out what you can do, as we near the Mid-term elections. Phone bank, send money, and most importantly, VOTE.

The LZ Sunday Paperâ„¢ launched at the dawn of 2014. We expose and recirculate interesting content that is about, and frequently by, women in business, with a dose of ultra-relevant culture. We think that culture comes high and low, not much in between. Our audience is vast and not gender-driven. Every week we expect to deliver at least one good laugh. Send suggestions, clips, or names of people you think might enjoy this to LZSundayPaper@gmail.com.
