_**Note**
Dear Faithful Subscribers/readers (and even to those of you who are unfaithful):
APOLOGIES for this duplicate email, on a Tuesday, no less! Due to the vagaries of tech-unsavviness combined with some content that 75% of your computer/ISP's spam filters didn't like, most of you did not get the Paper on Sunday.
Here it is, rated G. The apparently offensive words that triggered NSA-level security alerts can't even be named here, for fear of another Spam-a-pollooza.
Trust me, they were mild. This is a family newsletter!
I was so psyched about my Holiday Edition themed Masthead, I had to resend.
Happy Halloween!_
Is it better or worse to have Halloween on a weekend night? I say better.
If you're a grown-up and don't care for Halloween, you can take the money you would have spent on candy and UNICEF and put it towards gas money for a getaway weekend. Downside: you'll be known as that crabby old person who is never home on Halloween. Hopefully you will find no eggs have besmirched your window panes upon your return.
It's also a benefit if you do have a kid. If Halloween happens on a weekend, you can stop being such a drag! Like on all the years when Halloween falls on a school night and you yell at them "it's still a school night!" Even though it's 4pm. Been there.
If you are at home or away, Halloween is always a fun time to have a debate. If you're home, you can initiate the discussion as you sort the candy and continue to yell at your children. If you're away, do it as you have another glass of Pinot by a roaring fire!
Possible debate topic: are certain Halloween costumes feminist or anti-feminist statements?
Take the "Bad Habit" Nun costume.
Or is it anti-feminist or is it just anti-religious?
Would you need a Pope-er Scooper law for this one?
This one is not actually a costume, I don't think. It's for dress up, but not for Halloween. You don't even have to click on the link--I can tell from the description:
"The 'Say Ahhh' nurse set includes a white, open crotch teddy with thong back, halter neck, cut out sides, red cross appliques and matching nurse hat. **Toy stethoscope sales Independent."
So yeah, no debate on this point: the stethoscope is sold separately.
I haven't met a lot of women (or men, actually) who want to look like Iggy Pop for Halloween. In case you do, this make-up artist has the ghoulish secret.
Every week, The Sunday Paper brings both home-made and store-bought news about women in business to you. As you read, you can picture the costumes we wear when we go to work at our jobs in business, digital, tech, media, music, tv, film, fashion, sports, and culture. That should bring an additional laugh to the week's proceedings.
Don't forget to send any interesting stuff you think we may have missed. Tell us what you think and tell people to sign up at our website, LZSundayPaper.com.
Many of the articles we don't have room to include in the weekend edition are tweeted out all during the week @LZSundayPaper.
Boo! Even if you're scared after reading this week's news, please do have a Happy Halloween.

The LZ Sunday Paperâ„¢ (soon to be registered trademarked and copyrighted) launched at the dawn of 2014. We expose and recirculate interesting content that is about, and frequently by, women in business, with a dose of ultra-relevant culture. We think that culture comes in size high, medium, and low. Our audience for this content is vast and not gender-driven. Every week we expect at least one good laugh. Send suggestions, clips, or names of people you think might enjoy this to LZSundayPaper@gmail.com.
