Readers,
Organizing continued this week, specifically electronic organizing.
I gathered my iPad and iPhone together for a meeting. They were difficult to schedule. Our agenda:
delete hundreds of apps, games, publications, and podcast subscriptions, many associated with long gone email addresses (and therefore) long gone iTunes accounts
update the rest
figure out how to turn off the phone numbers on both devices that cause them to receive everyone in the family's texts and FaceTime calls. Saturday nights are fun with two college students and an 8th grader.
Check.
Unresolved: stop worrying about synching to the "iCloud" which Apple wants you to believe is the solution to all of modern life's efficiency challenges is just an anxiety inducer that doesn't work and noone understands. after the mysterious government hacker is done with the terrorist's iPhone I invite them to hack my family iCloud account and sync all our iTunes libraries. I don't believe it can be done.
Now that the devices were (mostly) reclaimed as my own, and Spring Break afforded some extra time, I did a quick power-through of all kinds of media that I'd wanted to check out.
Here are the recommends. Only gonna discuss relationship drama/comedies. No fantasy, sci-fi, cult-plots, drug lords, or anti-heroes:
Get ready for 'Catastrophe' Season 2, coming 4/8. Hurry, by watching Season 1. Have not seen this good a relationship, dialogue, plot, OMG'ness, 'what would I do if this were me?' relatability in a while. Maybe ever.
I've raved about Transparent. Before it won the Emmy, and before Season 2 went a little kray/off-the-rails but still amazing. So if you've taken my advice and watched both, then jump right into Togetherness which is like if 'Catastrophe' and 'Transparent' had a baby spin-off made by a couple who happened to be brothers. It is fantastic.
If you've watched all that, or just want an edgier (but also somehow tamer, less nuanced) version of relationship insanity and intensity, go for 'You're The Worst'.
If your eyeballs hurt from watching too much stuff, use your earballs to listen to 'Serial' Season 2. This interesting, protracted, multi-faceted podcast story of the court-martialing of Bowe Bergdahl was apparently streamed over 50 million times. Here's a great re-cap that doesn't ruin the season, if you want to know what you're in for. Unsolved Mystery: why spell Bowe B-O-W-E not Beau or even Bo.
The news cycle sure isn't letting up. Binge-read all the news you need to know by and about women in business, politics, digital, media, film, tv, fashion, sports, literature and general pop culture for you. There's always something important to find out about, and there's always a laugh, too.
You can peruse the re-runs, ie. the issues you missed, or forward the Paper to someone you think would enjoy it, or sign up at LZSundayPaper.com.

We expose and recirculate interesting content that is about, and frequently by, women in business, with a dose of ultra-relevant culture. We think that culture comes in size high, medium, and low. Our audience for this content is vast and not gender-driven. Every week we expect at least one good laugh.
