Dear Readers,
Greetings from the West Coast! A rare weekend out of New York City.
Here are some things that happened to me this week:
--Rachel Dratch 'Liked' my Tweet! This was thrilling for me. I think because it was an attempt at a witty retort to her own Tweet so I felt validated.
--I ate the same thing in my hotel restaurant three nights in a row. Two times I was with other people, once it was late and I was sitting at the bar by myself. (I don't think this detail matters, but I'm giving it to you as a scene-setter).
--The phenomenon known as "June Gloom" (which has something to do with the "marine layer" that everyone likes to talk about) has hit L.A. in May.
--I'm about to depart for a movie. In L.A. they have more reserved seating. Good for crowded movies. Seems to me like $17.00 is a lot for a movie ticket when there are a tremendous number of seats available one hour before the show. (The grey seats are empty) Mine is the single one down to the right. J19, in case you are interested in joining me.
The curation from L.A. is approximately the same as it is from New York. Like Facebook, I use a human touch to "curate" news. Unlike Facebook, it's not to make an algorithm better. And I don't claim it's "news" or "unbiased." It's just me, choosing. I don't agree with every piece. I don't think I cover every opinion about every subject. But I do stand by the choices as a broad selection of pieces by and about women in business, politics, digital, technology, media, film, tv, fashion, sports, literature and general pop culture. My opinion actually doesn't matter, individually. But I do believe that all of ours together, does. That's a conundrum I'll be continuing to sort out.

Sometimes there's so much interesting stuff out there I can't wait 'til Sunday so I tweet it during the week. Follow me @LZSundayPaper.
And don't forget, follow me at my @LZSundayPaper Instagram. It's a visual funhouse that speaks to the themes of the Paper. And don't forget about @LZFloors. I take pictures of floors. That's it.
One week out from it being almost the end of our first long weekend of the Summer Season…brrrr…! Hope it gets warm soon!
See you,
LZ

The LZ Sunday Paperâ„¢ (It is supposedly trademarked and might be copyrighted--I'm afraid to ask my lawyer again because each time I do, I still don't understand the answer but get a bill for asking) launched at the dawn of 2014. We expose and recirculate interesting content that is about, and frequently by, women in business, with a dose of ultra-relevant culture. We think that culture comes in sizes high and low, not much room for medium. Our audience is vast and not gender-driven. Every week we expect to deliver at least one good laugh. We would deliver mimosas, too, if the internet could do so. Send suggestions, clips, or names of people you think might enjoy this to LZSundayPaper@gmail.com.
