Dear Subscribers, Future Subscribers, and Future Unsubscribers,
I have written about the fashion trend known as "Matchy Matchy" (not your typical dress and "dyed to match" shoes but rather you and another person). And I have published some snapshots fashioned after the great Bill Cunningham "On The Street" series (or in my case, "On The Subway"). This week, hurriedly en route to somewhere or other, I came across these gals who somehow embodied both ouevres. Sisters? Twins? Roommates? Friends? A couple?
An end of summer, neighborhood walk, at dusk, with a pal. Let's just pick up a few things.
If I see these ladies in the neighborhood again, perhaps I will get a photo release from them and make them a symbol, mascot, or official logo of the LZSP. The photo embodies some attributes I strive for each week: interesting, unexpected, somehow moving; maybe you went out looking for it, maybe you just came upon it. As I look at it again, I see that it also embodies the attributes of being: poorly lit, unprofessional, and a little blurry.
Thank you for all the notes and emails about the past couple of week's Top of Newsletter.
All: Despite my likening of each "unsubscribe" to a mortal wound, I'd like you to know that the "churn" of the subscriber business rolls on. "Churn" is an industry term for when, every month, some people unsubscribe, some people subscribe. The goal is to have more of the latter than the former. Your cable or satellite provider can provide additional color on the subject. As for me, yes we're doing well. And as for the Unsubscribes in the past week? No problem, I've got a tough gut, folks. Really I only need one kidney, anyway. Pancreas, schmancreas.
And a warm welcome to our new subscribers!
Please Tweet or share your favorite links from the Newsletter (I know, it's hard to tweet or facebook individual links while still crediting the Paper; we're working on that); or Forward the entire thing to a Friend if you are motivated to do so I can keep my churn numbers down.
Send me items of interest or questions/comments here.
And do peruse the back catalogue for the issues you missed, forward the Paper, or sign up at LZSundayPaper.com.
Sometimes there's so much interesting stuff out there I can't wait 'til Sunday so I tweet it during the week. Follow me @LZSundayPaper.

The LZ Sunday Paperâ„¢ (soon to be registered trademarked and copyrighted) launched at the dawn of 2014. We expose and recirculate interesting content that is about, and frequently by, women in business, with a dose of ultra-relevant culture. We think that culture comes in size high, medium, and low. Our audience for this content is vast and not gender-driven. Every week we expect at least one good laugh. Send suggestions, clips, or names of people you think might enjoy this to LZSundayPaper@gmail.com.
