Subscribers,
Hope your Back To School week was a relatively smooth re-entry.
I'm too busy to watch anything but I have been filling content-time with some podcasts that have hit my radar. Good for driving, walking, chore-companioning in the house:
Some top-notch journalism; some just enjoyable stories I didn't know about; some compelling/can't stop listening:
Broken: Jeffrey Epstein -- No, episode one didn't deliver any new news, but hearing from the woman who doggedly pursued this story and single-handedly busted it open at the Miami Herald is truly incredible.
Mob Queens -- A not-often told story of a true lady gangster, Depression-era New York City, with evocative neighborhood portraiture. Imagine all the huge stars who would want to play this lady. Gaga, I'm talking to you.
The Dream -- I love scams! This one really slays me, because it made me uncover a long-forgotten '70's memory of a scam called The Airplane Game, and the original 'pyramid schemes,' and how Tupperware Parties and Mary Kay cosmetics and the women who built those companies figure into it all.
Ten Sessions - I know I covered it last week, editorially, but I don't know what you folks click on, so here it is again. Well actually I do know what you click on, if I care to find out from handy-dandy Mailchimp. But I don't. Usually. Anyway, every so often, just when you think 'This American Life' has told all the stories there are to tell, there's a powerful, OMFG episode. This one is one of those. A must-listen.
And here's your weekly must-read: news by and about women in the politics, business, the arts, sports, and pop culture. Each week, I comb the internet and some paper, too, to bring you a range of perspectives on the news of the week.
Send me comments, along with articles, photos, or videos you think I need to see here. If you are not already, click here to become a subscriber.

The LZ Sunday Paperâ„¢ launched at the dawn of 2014. We expose and recirculate interesting content that is about, and frequently by, women in business, with a dose of ultra-relevant culture. We think that culture comes high and low, not much in between. Our audience is vast and not gender-driven. Every week we expect to deliver at least one good laugh. Send suggestions, clips, or names of people you think might enjoy this to LZSundayPaper@gmail.com.
