JUST TO KICK THINGS OFF: Frozen Garbage Tundra, NYC
Greetings. Period.
By now you know I can get very excited about things. Including salutations.
That exclamatory punctuation mark is still hovering above the number 1 on my keyboard. However, I believe it is hibernating. Its heart rate has slowed. I don't feel right about waking it up to come out and exclaim when there is no thaw in our readers' sight. If you live somewhere else and you can spare some degrees, Celsius or Fahrenheit or we'll even take a Kelvin, please send them and we'll mix them with ours. Maybe the whole country will get along better if we all have the same weather.
And so, the proclamation of the exclamation point is thusly: none shall be utilized until the cycle of swirling, icing-over, frozen garbage here in NYC (see above, exhibit A) is broken.
Oscars. Are we excited? If a woman wins, should she receive an Oscarette? See below for why, apparently no matter what it's called, chances are that she won't win anything besides an award for being an actress.
The LZ Sunday Paper is counting on the not-usually-true adage "in like a lion and out like a lamb" to come true 29 days from now. For now, it icily exposes and chillingly recirculates interesting content that is about, and for, warm-blooded--and on some occasions hot-blooded-- women in business. Our audience for this content is vast and not gender-driven. Every week we expect at least one good laugh.
Again, thank you for your feedback and in particular, for sending interesting articles and media pieces you've come across. Keep them coming to the LZSundayPaper@gmail.com mailbox.
BTW there's no such thing as "oversharing" when it comes to telling your gal- and guy-pals about this newsletter.
Enjoy.
LZ
PS. It was very hard for me not to hit Shift1 after the word "Enjoy."
PPS. Oh and it's Women's History Month. In our Pic(k) of the Week, you'll find a less-often-quoted thought from President Kennedy: "I think that in this great society of ours," the president says, "we want to be sure that women are used as effectively as they can to provide a better life for our people, in addition to meeting their primary responsibility, which is in the home."

The LZ Sunday Paperâ„¢ (soon to be registered trademarked and copyrighted) launched at the dawn of 2014. We expose and recirculate interesting content that is about, and for, women in business, with a dose of ultra-relevant culture. We think that culture comes in size high, medium, and low. Our audience for this content is vast and not gender-driven. Every week we expect at least one good laugh. Send suggestions, clips, or names of people you think might enjoy this to LZSundayPaper@gmail.com.
