Readers,
I am hoping you have not been negatively affected by hurricanes, 100-degree temperatures, raging wildfires, or an earthquake this week. If you are a DACA beneficiary, I hope you have the support you need from your employer or academic institution.
As I mentioned last week, I am not a deeply religious person but I do have some faith. With the Jewish High Holidays coming, I think things are getting more intense.
I was back on the tennis court yesterday (thank you again for asking--I played well despite grabbing my husband's racket on the way out the door!). On the court, just like last weekend, a butterfly came to visit once again. Last week's visitation was more active, the little guy moving his wings up and down, moving all around to court. This week, not so much.
After I shared my visitation story of a dream that turned into a butterfly on the tennis court, aka Abbey Z. my U.S. Open loving Dad, I heard from a huge number of people who shared their own super-intense experiences. Lots of butterflies and ladybugs! Apparently that's a thing!
Many folks shared info that is on the other side of the spiritual spectrum for me. All of it was incredibly heartfelt. The best was someone whose cel phone dialed their Mom's old number by itself…TWICE, on a very meaningful night for their family. I got lots of articles and book recommendations on the topic of visitations and friendly ghosts. Lots of references to folks for me to see if I wanted to go deeper. I am deep enough, I think.
So overall, those who wrote in were very supportive. Though one subscriber told me she was shocked that "I went there." I didn't really get what she meant, because I don't know where I went, but that's okay, too. In my experience it's been hard to persuade anyone that I am in any way weird or spacey or loopy, so if I moved the needle even a tiny bit in that direction by sharing my story, I'm okay with it.
Here's another loopy week of the LZ Sunday Paper. It's the most important news of the week, about and by women in business, media, digital, politics, arts, sports and pop culture.

The LZ Sunday Paperâ„¢ launched at the dawn of 2014. We expose and recirculate interesting content that is about, and frequently by, women in business, with a dose of ultra-relevant culture. We think that culture comes high and low, not much in between. Our audience is vast and not gender-driven. Every week we expect to deliver at least one good laugh. Send suggestions, clips, or names of people you think might enjoy this to LZSundayPaper@gmail.com.
