Dear Readers,
L'Shanah Tovah to you and yours! There's something smart about having the New Year start just after Labor Day. Even in this insane Covid-19 period, people do seem to be regrouping and re-locating after this long, eerie six months.
My New Year's resolution is to get a new mattress. Friends, family, fans, subscribers, even haters if you are out there and have one shred of decency left in you, please give me your mattress recommendations. We are so, so confused. And have backaches from our crappy old piece of sponge. What I need: very firm, as in very, very, very firm. Preferably with no puffy European tufted topper that is all the rage. No box spring so think platform type of mattress. We have some input on Shifman, Saatva, Idle, Purple, Casper, in-a-box, rolled, folded, two-sided, hybrid, foam, memory foam, cooling gel, you name it. In Covid times with mattresses in a box de rigeur, there's no such thing as heading to a random mattress store and lying on a Sealy Postur-pedic to try it out with your mate. Not that that was ever anything but a disgusting idea, at any time. It's amazing that more worldwide pandemics didn't start in a Sleepy's.
This is a good week for peace and well-being and good health to help us concentrate on getting one more year, one more inscription into the book of life. I've heard that God loves an honest tennis-line, in/out shot caller, so I should be good.
Also good, the most important news of the week by, for, and about women. I scour, survey and appraise it all for you. Politics, business, arts, sports, and pop culture. Visually sharp and verbally acute, it's all here for you, hand-delivered on your virtual doorstep. Have a laugh.
Send me any articles, photos, or videos you think I need to see right here. Comments and questions welcome, as well. And don't forget those mattress recommendations.

The LZ Sunday Paperâ„¢ launched at the dawn of 2014. We expose and recirculate interesting content that is about, and frequently by, women in business, with a dose of ultra-relevant culture. We think that culture comes high and low, not much in between. Our audience is vast and not gender-driven. Every week we expect to deliver at least one good laugh. Send suggestions, clips, or names of people you think might enjoy this to LZSundayPaper@gmail.com.
