Readers,
Quickie multi-media round-up:
Enjoyed: Wet Hot American Summer
Enjoyed greatly, yet had issues with: Straight Outta Compton.
P.S. I can get behind a good #meme. And I agree that everyone is from somewhere and most people have a right to be proud and own their own story. However, I've stayed away from my own possible Straight Outta Great Neck t-shirt manufacturing idea. Not that I'm not proud of everything that "1979," "Long Island," "what were your SAT scores?" "do you have something to wear for the Jewish Holidays?" represent. Just that it might seem a bit deprecating to those who have really come from tough situations and made extraordinary gains on their own lives while contributing to so many others.
P.P.S. Dre apologized yesterday.
Really enjoyed the scene at the Hollywood Bowl where Joshua Bell conducted, and played virtuoso violin, at the same time. I was here-to-fore unaware of the scene of elaborate picnic-ers and laughter-inducing audience regulars. Anxiety about parking was unfounded. Unlike Shakespeare In The Park, one really does not have to worry about the weather, especially during our (sorry, L.A.'ers) West Coast drought.
Always enjoy a Dodgers Game. Man, that Stadium is mid-century modern classique. Maybe so much so that L.A. is going to tear it down and give the fans something else to get excited about other than this year's Clayton Kershaw and the ever-popular Dodger Dog. Of which I had two which was a proverbial double whammy, let me tell you.
Enjoying Life After Life. If you have time for one more fiction beach book, it's a good one.
Hoping you enjoy the week's most important news about, but not exclusively for, women in business, digital, tech, media, music, tv, film, fashion, sports, literature, education, and pop culture. Be sure to enjoy it, be sure to have a laugh, be sure to share.
And be sure to keep sending me any interesting items you see along the way here.
Peruse the back catalogue or sign up at LZSundayPaper.com.
Sometimes there's so much interesting stuff out there I can't wait 'til Sunday so I tweet it during the week. Follow me @LZSundayPaper.
Thank you!

The LZ Sunday Paperâ„¢ (soon to be registered trademarked and copyrighted) launched at the dawn of 2014. We expose and recirculate interesting content that is about, and frequently by, women in business, with a dose of ultra-relevant culture. We think that culture comes in size high, medium, and low. Our audience for this content is vast and not gender-driven. Every week we expect at least one good laugh. Send suggestions, clips, or names of people you think might enjoy this to LZSundayPaper@gmail.com.
