Shanah Tovah/Happy New Year!
Tonight we will ring in the year 5777.
The Jewish "high holiday" season is is a peaceful but intense time. Find someone you should really talk to -- to say hello; to say goodbye; to say you're sorry; to ask how they are; to give them a hug; to be honest with; to forgive. Any or all of the above. This is a good goal to have all the time, but is a bit of a mandate right now.
Charity -- or tzedakah -- is also always a welcome value, but in the next ten days, the so-called Days Of Awe, it is commanded. So contribute to this genius Kickstarter, which is raising funds for the first ever Torah to be scribed by a woman in the borough of Manhattan.Though I don't know how many torahs get written, with what frequency, here in Manhattan or anywhere else, it's hard to believe it hasn't happened before. But it hasn't. It is a deep, painstaking and important process filled with ancient laws (including one that says a torah cannot be scribed by a woman) that I knew little about until this project came to my temple.
Enjoy this New Year's compilation of everything about women of all (and no) faiths alike, as it relates to politics, business, technology, media, film, tv, fashion, sports, literature and general pop culture. Handpicked, by me, for you. And God. I'm just kidding. But I do follow him/her on Twitter.

A deep thank you to all the many readers who continue to support The LZ Sunday Paper and my personal endeavors to sustain it and spread the word. And in particular, in the past week or two, to EGC, JP, JF, DP, LG, AH, SM, YL, SS, BZS and PKD who sent in great pieces for consideration. Why do I use their initials, you ask? A) I didn't ask their permission to use their names b) cuz this guy said it's a good idea. Which it's not. Which is probably why he got in a lot of trouble for saying so.
Keep sending anything of interest-- or your questions/comments--: here.
Enjoy these beautiful and interesting images of all kinds of women at @LZSundayPaper Instagram. If you enjoy floors, or just looking down, then you might prefer--like all the restrooms of the future--my 100% gender-neutral @LZFloors.

The LZ Sunday Paperâ„¢ launched at the dawn of 2014. We expose and recirculate interesting content that is about, and frequently by, women in business, with a dose of ultra-relevant culture. We think that culture comes high and low, not much in between. Our audience is vast and not gender-driven. Every week we expect to deliver at least one good laugh. Send suggestions, clips, or names of people you think might enjoy this to LZSundayPaper@gmail.com.
