Dear Readers,
Who killed Jeffrey Epstein?
No, I don't think someone tied a bedsheet around his neck and pushed him off the top bunk, but the list of people who wanted the guy dead is a long one. Maybe some MI6 intrigue. Maybe one last powerful Maxwell connection. Maybe the Manhattan glitterati finance and media folks who have a tight tie-line to NYC Department of Corrections. Or maybe, as one avid Sunday Paper opiner said, "I think the Russians and the Motherf***ing bloated orange one did it!"
It is truly like a tv whodunnit. But I don't think there's going to be any neat ending during sweeps. Unknowns and a trail of damaged lives. Gross. Awful.
And honestly it's not just that *he* was a psychopathic asshole predator criminal. To me It is simply astonishing that the list of so many men implicated is so long. The famous ones, the unfamous ones. Who do you know that wants to have their arm around teenage girls for a picture and then molest or rape them in private under the guise of a British madam and a "massage"? Who are and where are these men? Are they all in plain sight and we are just blind?
Like what is the answer to "what did you do this weekend?" at work, or at your next dinner party, that would make you think this nefarious shit would be going on? "I went to my friend's villa in the Carribbean." "I went to a dinner party on the upper east side." Answers that imply great privilege are one thing. Those that imply criminalality and perversion are another.
I *was* going to write about a memory that surfaced in a dream I had last night, about my religious school education! Well, I'll save that for another week.
For this one, enjoy these important, interesting, and even amusing news items by and about women in the politics, business, the culture, the arts, sports, and pop culture.

The LZ Sunday Paperâ„¢ launched at the dawn of 2014. We expose and recirculate interesting content that is about, and frequently by, women in business, with a dose of ultra-relevant culture. We think that culture comes high and low, not much in between. Our audience is vast and not gender-driven. Every week we expect to deliver at least one good laugh. Send suggestions, clips, or names of people you think might enjoy this to LZSundayPaper@gmail.com.
