Readers, here are final thoughts from the last day of July,2016--
First, here is the last word on the Presidential race, for this week. I can predict, without a shadow of a doubt, that history is being made in this election. Definitely. My guaranteed prediction is that the winner of the Presidential Election, ie the President Of The United States of America, will definitely have a Jewish son-in-law!
Other news will be brief, as I unexpectedly got to the semi-finals of a tennis tourney today, so the three matches that I didn't expect to play took up much of my LZSundayPaper-putting-together-time.
That, plus seizing an opportunity yesterday to go to the Bronx Botanic Garden to see the famed Corpse Flower, which hasn't bloomed in the Bronx since 1939. And once it does, it only lasts between 24-48 hours, so time was of the essence.
Ya gotta love the NYC major p.r. push that surrounded this cultural, botanical event. There was such a long line to see it! But it was worth the wait! The Little Shop Of Horrors-esque ginormous bloom was among the most spectacular things I've ever seen. You can see me smelling it. That look on my face was due to the eponymous "corpse-" (actually carrion-)-like odor. Also I look like that because I stood on that long line, and it was very, very hot both outside and inside the Conservatory, aka a "hothouse." Here is the live webcam of the flower, inside the Conservatory, in case you can't make it there today.
Below, please find the finalists for this week's selection of pieces by and about (but not exclusively for) women in politics, business, politics, technology, media, film, tv, fashion, sports, literature and general pop culture. Handpicked, by me, for you.
Many worthy articles made it to the semis of the LZSP weekly tournament. They got tweeted and Instagrammed out during the week @LZSundayPaper.
Great batch of reader submissions this week! Thank you so much. Keep sending any items of interest or send questions/comments: here.
And don't forget, follow me at my @LZSundayPaper Instagram. If you enjoy floors, or just looking down, then you might enjoy @LZFloors.
Check in next week to see if I made it to the mixed doubles finals!

The LZ Sunday Paperâ„¢ launched at the dawn of 2014. We expose and recirculate interesting content that is about, and frequently by, women in business, with a dose of ultra-relevant culture. We think that culture comes high and low, not much in between. Our audience is vast and not gender-driven. Every week we expect to deliver at least one good laugh. Send suggestions, clips, or names of people you think might enjoy this to LZSundayPaper@gmail.com.
