Dear Readers,
Happy Labor Day!
An A-level Tennis Update:
Assessment: I am kookoo for Coco Gauff.
Achievement: I was crowned the champion of the summer-long round-robin tourney, the final of which we played on Friday.
Asinine: I was somehow in the "quarter finals" of the A Singles tournament. But I say "somehow" because, through a series of scheduling conflicts, injuries, and a 'bye,' this summer-long tournament is actually starting and finishing (for me) in one day. Up 4-1, I realized I forgot to take my anti-choking medicine before the match, heatstroked myself into oblivion, and lost 6-4. That said, it was an incredibly fun and friendly match and I was happy for my opponent, who got to win on her birthday!
Arduous: I am also made kookoo by the most important news by and about women in the politics, business, the arts, sports, and pop culture. Each week, I comb the internet and some paper, too, to bring you a range of perspectives on the news of the week. My informal co-curators and collaborators are innumerable. Special thanks this week to Julie, Nancy, Elyse, Phelim, Dale, David, BZ, Mary, Miriam, and Lisa.

The LZ Sunday Paperâ„¢ launched at the dawn of 2014. We expose and recirculate interesting content that is about, and frequently by, women in business, with a dose of ultra-relevant culture. We think that culture comes high and low, not much in between. Our audience is vast and not gender-driven. Every week we expect to deliver at least one good laugh. Send suggestions, clips, or names of people you think might enjoy this to LZSundayPaper@gmail.com.
