The "99" Edition
Hello, All—
Time for a Labor Day Thank You to all my Laboring contributors. My heavy hitters Nancy, Kathryn, Julie, Karen; my regulars David, Dale, Phelim, Alex; my essential occasionals BZ, Emily, Carla, Lisa, Nancy, Mary, Nick, Bonnie, Barbie; my out of the blue Virginia, Susan, Nancy (a different one), Christie, Cari, Salma, Elijah, Joanne, Carolyn, Kaia, Barbara, Corena; and my top recommenders Jessi, Virginia, Michael, Liz, Frank, and Adam; my all my substack ‘likers’ —THANK YOU!
I am so damn busy finishing this summer and prepping for a busy September that this just might be all you get this week. I am anticipating a here and there Sunday Paper publishing schedule for a few weeks: several biz trips (I’m out of practice, Zoom be damned!), Jewish Holidays (falling on the weekend!), and a 10/15 deadline for an exciting editorial project that may bump this editorial time down the priority chain a notch or two. Can’t wait to share what it is about. It is *a* book, but not *my* book-I-am-not-likely-to-write-anytime-soon.
Happy what would be Abbey Zalaznick’s 99th birthday to him, the first we are remembering without darling Gloria being here to toast with. Sigh.
The news, however, continues apace with all of us here to read it — by and for you, selected with care by me. Women: in politics, business, culture, pop culture, and sports. Every week, delivered to your inbox.
If you aren’t already a subscriber, you should be.
If you have a story you think I may have missed or something to share with me, please still do, at LZSundayPaper@gmail.com. I will thank you heartily every time!
And if you’d like to tell a friend about the Paper, please do!:
How about that Super Blue Moon— that was something to enjoy and be amazed at. And Happy September! Sigh.
