The "Cooled Off" Edition
Readers,
I have shared many times in the past that I have very vivid dreams nearly every night. Also that I have a set of recurring dreams. Most are not so pleasant.
But one recurring dream is very pleasant. That’s the one where Matt Damon and I are very good pals. We hang out and laugh and just generally chillax.
Two nights ago what a surprise— I guess Matt was busy. Instead, Mick Jagger was over on what I would call a playdate! We were like two middle school friends giggling like crazy over nothing. We were sitting cross-legged on my bed and Mick looked like a cross between himself right now but maybe someone else? Maybe him much younger? I met him a few times over the span of about five years, like 20-25 years ago? So maybe it was him at that age? I was really staring into his very big blue eyes and he had really awesome hair and skin. Gosh we were having fun.
Just then, in walks Liam Neeson! He was super hungry (after-school snack?) So I went to the kitchen and opened my fridge and it was packed! Stuffed! But only with hamburger and hot dog buns!! I was so embarrassed. But then I was somewhere else and Liam was at the fridge, and he said “Oh look, this is great!” and pulled out a lunch-salad-size plastic tub of what I would call a 9-layer-dip. The bottom was lettuce, then black beans, then tomato, cucumber, a ton of cubed avocado, etc. He was so excited and I was amazed I hadn’t seen it in there.
I went to look for tortilla chips which I secretly knew i didn’t have (putting off further embarrassment by pretending maybe they were in the house somewhere) and glanced into the living room. I saw Robin Williams playing games on the floor. He looked super-miserable. He was just really disappointed with how the games were going or maybe he was homesick — rainy day camp vibes — and I was worried. He looked incredibly young, like 4 or 5 years old, but it was definitely adult Robin Williams with his ‘80s hair, maybe Good Will Hunting-ish. Which of course brings our dreamwork back to Matt.
But if Matt was on his way over, I woke up before he arrived. But Matt if you’re reading this, I’ll be home tonight! Do drop by!! I hope Mick tells his Mom he wants another playdate and Liam doesn’t tell too many people about my lame refrigerator full of buns and possible hot dog dream-symbolism.
