The "How's Tricks?" Edition
Dearest Readers,
A short history lesson for a long weekend.
Remember MTV’s “Jersey Shore?” Long ago and far away, youngsters, before there were “memes” there were these things called “catch phrases.” IMO the cultural moment legacy for that show was “GTL:” Gym/Tan/Laundry. I thought about it recently because this June I have had my own GTL and it’s Guests, Tennis, Laundry. Me and those kids have more in common than you thought, right?
In other news, Barbie Fever is official (I’m going to see it!). Also, the wildfire smoke is back in NYC, plus bugs! So I’m staying away from the latter ‘til I have the urge to see the former.
GTL, baby. GTL. So we’ll see you next week — minus the G’s, possibly with some more Wins on the board, and also possibly some cleaner sheets and towels.
In the meantime there are so many great things to read and listen to. Your humble non-professional curational servant is here for you to cull the most important news by, for, and about women, delivered straight to your inbox. Politics, Business, Health, Pop Culture and everything in between. In all formats! Video, Audio, and our beloved dying industry art, the written word.
Happy Independence Day!
