The "I'm Baaaaaaack" Edition
Greetings, one and all—
Happy President’s Day weekend which may/may not be a long weekend for your. I could tell you what I’ve been doing since December, on the first hiatus I’ve taken in all these years. The weeks (or really weekends, when I do this) would be something like:
Christmas (1)
New Year’s (1)
Vacation (1)
Nothing, just seeing what Saturdays were like. (2)
Spending the day working on a deadline for a different creative project. Sort of combined with Birthday recuperation. (1)
Destination WeddingTravel (1)
Destination Work Travel (1))
And there you have it! That is literally how time flies. Mind you, I have done all of the above and still published every Sunday, so I can’t tell you exactly what’s different, but I’m back for now.
Would you like to know the gabillion things I’ve watched and read? Mostly the Oscar-Nominated Feature Films and Documentaries. Finishing up the last few in the coming weeks. Plus all 5 seasons of ‘Yellowstone’—it’s Dallas meets the Sopranos. Either you’re saying “you’ve got to be kidding” or hah-duh, yeah, that’s why it’s the most popular TV drama in the country (which it is). Anyway, it’s right up my alley.
Do you prefer high school drama? College? Judging by the quantity and variety, I guess those are always up everyone’s alleys. “Wednesday” (yes, yes!); “Ginny & Georgia” (yes! for at least a few episodes/a while); “Sex Lives Of College Girls” (yes! I keep recommending this because it keeps being super-funny and sweet and edgy at the same time, to me). “Never Have I Ever” (yes! for a while but I liked ‘Sex Lives…’ much better, both Mindy Kaling-created, fyi). “Abbott Elementary” (yes! funny, even “adorable” in such a good way).
Well I didn’t get to the things I read. Maybe next time. For now, here are the best things I’ve read that I think you should read, too. For and about women, here is the news of the past weeks’ Politics, Business, Health, Pop Culture, The Arts, Sports, and more.
If you aren’t already a subscriber, you should be.
