The "Off We Go" Edition
Dear Readers,
This week, off I go, negative Covid tests in hand, to a much-(Covid-)delayed first family wedding of the new generation.
I’m excited for this one, of course, because I happen to love the groom- and bride-to-be. TBH I certainly still don’t actually understand some of the longstanding rites and rituals or even some of the hoopla part. But I’m not gonna be a pill and go over the strange rituals that infantilize and fetishize cultural attributes we tend to shun in other aspects of our lives. Okay that already made me a pill. So I hereby commit to a long weekend of energetic fun, sun, love, happiness, support, letting loose, gabbing it up, all in support of a lifelong marriage filled with those very same things!
Every edition seeks to bring a robust, diverse curation of the week’s news. However this week, please enjoy a salute to Black History Month. Politics, Pop Culture and everything in between— the essential list of the the week’s most important content about women.
