Dear Readers,

Apologies for the unannounced hiatus last week. A dominant first round tennis win and an opposite and equally undominant second round loss took up the physical and mental weekend time units available.

Speaking of time units and platitudinous summer chit chat, I am simply confounded that next weekend is Labor Day. I took appreciative note of the long and lovely spring, weather-wise, warming up, no late cold snaps, no early heat waves. I took note of the summer weather too. It stayed cool, for the most part, at the beach. Tolerable in the City. I guess I’m getting to the fact that I’m not ready for it to be over. I am decreasingly a Fall/Winter person.

I’m going to allow myself — and you — a bit more beach brain and give you very little to think about. At least on the ‘me,’ front. On the world front, there is still an absolutely overwhelming amount to think about: Politics, Business, Health, Pop Culture, The Arts, Sports, and more. Just for you, from me, curated by, for, and about women, with care.

I have been super-lax on Instagram and I think I’m about to delete my X profile, entirely. Social Media time units turn out to be the most expendable. Need to decrease Spelling Bee time units, now irritatingly impinged upon by Connections.

Darn you, NYT Games!

Time-deprived but contentedly yours,

LZ
