The "Park Place" Edition

Dear Readers,

I am still mid-stream on my official “Are we still pretending that Covid is over?” world travel tour.

Sadly, there is no tour merchandise for me to sell to you other than my ratty old carry-on Tumi roller bag. It was pretty tired two+ years ago when I put it in the closet. Seems like its closet quarantine hasn’t been kind to its wheels, zippers, and handles, so time for a refresh. It seems like it’s even harder to determine what “best” vs. “best for ME” travel bags are than even mattresses, and you loyal followers know what a saga that was. But if you DO swear by a trusted old brand or maybe a cool new carry-on brand/size, tell me.

Overall, I am racking up some boring-yet-fascinating-at-the-same-time travel stories about how precarious the whole travel grid seems to be right now. I have an ongoing list of titles for my potential Book I Will Never Write. Now, better yet—I can start a list of imaginary pull-quotes for the back cover to which I can aspire: “…boring, yet fascinating at the same time...” Kirkus Reviews.

Please be fascinated, rather than bored, when you read this week’s news, delivered straight to your inbox or findable on Substack. Politics, Pop Culture and everything in between plus a laugh which we all need, every day of every week — it’s the essential list of the the week’s most important content about women.
