The "Post-Season" Edition
Greetings, Subscribers:
I don’t know how many people have off for Indigenous Peoples Day, but if you do, I hope you are enjoying your long weekend. For those back to the grind tomorrow, enjoy the changing leaves, or the unchanging palm trees or baseball playoffs or whatever makes your day.
This whole “Covid is kind of ‘over’” thing is making for more coffees, meals, conventions, travel and generally unfocused busy-ness. I would say I personally am at about 50% back to pre-Covid levels. I’m okay with that. Remember when we and all the headlines took a communal vow that “nothing would ever be the same”? Well, like I say, a lot of things are beginning to be…exactly the same. Back: eating out. Back: dinner parties. Back: indoor parties where people share common nut bowls and dips. Not back: going to the office, apparently. Not back: phone calls instead of Zooms. Sort of not back: going to the movies. Still here: using Covid exposure, true or not, as a reason to cancel or reschedule. Still here: immense relief when something — anything cancels or reschedules.
I hope not a relief when I cancel a weekly edition of The LZ Sunday Paper, because here it is. It’s the most important news by, for, and about women, delivered straight to your inbox. Politics, Business, Health, Pop Culture and everything in between.
Subscribe now, if you don’t already.
You can follow me all week on Instagram, and if you have a story you think I may have missed, email me at LZSundayPaper@gmail.com.
