The "Very Much" Edition
Greetings, Readers,
Happy Thanksgiving Weekend! Here are some things I’ve done since eating—like seriously, seriously over-eating—Thanksgiving Dinner on Thursday:
Gone to the two Walter Di Maria art installations in New York City, The Earth Room on Wooster Street and The Broken Kilometer on West Broadway. I highly suggest both. Especially The Earth Room, because the dirt-tender is retiring soon.
Watched “The Blackberry Movie” on Amazon. Superb! Anyone who ever had one, or is a techie, or hates the phone companies, or can’t remember not having an iPhone must see it (haha I got you—this is 100% of people in the world!) Which is close to the percentage of people who also loved this movie!
I also sorted photos (highly unsuccessful), worked on a needlepoint canvas (difficult in the semi-dark while watching movies), did yoga (twice), ate Chinese food leftovers for breakfast (natch), was happy that my amaryllis fully bloomed (before I go away at Christmas time), prepared for our annual Hannukah gift giving ritural, Secret Maccabee (ie. got my secret recipient assigned), picked up a restrung tennis racket (major negative issue: significant tennis elbow).
No other important-to-mention downsides currently. Several challenges before end of year arrives but no lurking tripwires that I can see.
I hope I’ve inspired some confidence in you, dear readers, to jump your own tripwires, should they exist, and be Thankful for all that you have done— or not!— this weekend.
Take your last day of the long weekend and read up on all the most important news of the week about women in politics, business, the arts, fashion, sports and pop culture.
And thanks, thanks, thanks to so many subscribers for sending me pieces from great, fresh and diverse sources. Keep sending me anything you think I need to see right here.
